I too am having this same issue. I am wanting a static front page and have already selected this in customise section. I followed the instructions as above from DrainO – went to ‘edit front page’ on dashboard, and nothing happened. Is this because I deleted the ‘sample page’ that comes with the theme? Would be great to be able to begin editing the front page, but I also can’t find it anywhere! Thanks.
