Where apears “Portfolio” ? in th Url? or in the title atribute? <title> xxx </title>. To change the title that you can use a SEO plugin that allows you to change each page Title, description and keywords. (ex:seo by yoast)
If it’s the url the problem you have to go admin/inc/custompostypes.php, and change the slug attributes, to projects/details and projects/types . After you do this updates you MUST go to Admin>Settings> Permalinks and resave the settings.
